Built with the people who know.

Modulo does not ship a game on the strength of its own enthusiasm. Every title passes through physicists, educators, and policy professionals who tell us where the science bends and where the classroom breaks. Their notes are in the rules you play.

How we work with experts

01

Science review

Before a prototype exists, the underlying physics or chemistry is checked by a researcher in that field. If a mechanic misrepresents the science, it is rebuilt, not footnoted.

02

Education and policy review

Educators and policy professionals look at whether the game actually lowers the barrier into STEM for students who don't see themselves as science people — and whether it can live in a real classroom with real constraints.

03

Playtest feedback loop

Reviewer notes go straight into the next prototype. Nothing ships until the science, the pedagogy, and the fun all hold up at the same table.

Play is one of the few assessments that shows you how a young person actually thinks. In Collider Quest a student reasons about particles and then has to argue her case at the table. In Twisters she holds two possibilities at once and decides which one to commit to. In PRESSED she mixes pigments, defends a shade she chose herself, and calls it chemistry. Nobody is raising their hand in those moments; they are doing the science, and they are doing it together. Our education systems still measure participation far better than they measure this kind of thinking, and it is the difference that decides who stays in STEM.
